Dobo Dobosenski ’99Alumni and Staff
Matthew “Dobo” Dobosenski is the Assistant Director of Institutional Events at Gustavus Adolphus College, where he leads Event Technical Services and Production within Gustavus Technology Services. He manages a large team of student staff and provides technical support for hundreds of campus events each year, including the award-winning live-streaming of Christmas in Christ Chapel and the internationally recognized Nobel Conference. His work emphasizes innovation, efficiency, and creating meaningful experiences for both in-person and virtual audiences.
A proud Gustavus alumnus, he graduated in 1999 with a B.A. in Vocal and Instrumental Music Education (double major) and later pursued graduate studies in Educational Technology at Minnesota State University, Mankato. He is also an active leader and mentor in the local community, serving as President and Head Coach of the Le Sueur-Henderson High School Trap Team and as a longtime mentor with FIRST Robotics Team 3018 Nordic Storm.
Outside of his professional work, he is a classically trained violinist with over 45 years of study and performance, a 3rd Dan in Shorin-Ryu Karate, and an avid outdoorsman who enjoys upland hunting with his four British Labradors as well as fishing. He and his wife Gigi (Gustavus Class of 1998), live in St. Peter, where they remain closely connected to Gustavus. Their sons, Gavin (Campus Safety Officer) and Garek (Health and Exercise Science major), also contribute to the community.
